So did I. I used to like the Spanish national team and also Barcelona a lot, but the last 2 - 3 years I have found both to be very boring. Just moving the ball around in triangles and all the money BS which is involved in Spanish football turns me off. Nowhere is the difference between the rich and poor clubs bigger than here and in a period of deep social crisis, it makes me sick when some teams are allowed to have a debt of 100 millions of euros to the state. So the interesting thing is what the trainer will do. Does he have the guts to take off some of the old stars. The defense, the defensive midfield and especially the goalkeeper were awfull. Slow, tired and without energy. Well done orange.
I'll be thinking of you and the beautiful country of your birth later, GJ. I hope Italy attack and England show some verve. It's been a long time since I have seen us do very much at this level and Holland showed us all how to reply.
its OK Mr gj Michelob . we all know how to find football highlights on the internet . we know how the internet works ...google has provided its own "Special " links on the tool bar to assist us in finding these events that are of world wide notice , hence the title "World" cup ...
but really ..rubbing salt into the wounds of a nation ...........ladies and gentlemen of the jury ...I ask you to look into the hearts and hopes of many generations, and not be swayed by this so called ''Italian '' that has lain low the Lion that was once the herald of a people united .. For violent fires soon burn out themselves; Small showers last long, but sudden storms are short; This happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, That England, that was wont to conquer others, Hath made a shameful conquest of itself. Ah, would the scandal vanish with my life,
The first game showed that the whole competion is comprado. The final will be Brazil vs whatever subcampeon
Yeah, the first game showed very clearly the way the whole thing will go and the way futball is nowadays. When the ref. invented the penalty, I shut off the television, and I´m not going to se many games. I wonder how much they payed for that penalty?
In general, watchin sports nowadays, is interesting me less and less. Its way to much about selling something, money and doping. It reminds me to much of the rest of the world.
the penalty was a mistake as the one given to Brazil the day before. It was pure simulation in both case!
There are some news in this edition, the Goal camera line and the spray used by the referee for the wall to not move They should do something to sanction the simulators. After the game, as it happen when there was an agression in the field. A comitee should decide if a player deserve a suspension for 1 or 2 game (for a simulation in the penalty aera). Maybe these guys would think it twice before acting like this, if they know they might be sanctioned afterward.
