Spanish Cypress

Hi,

I have been looking for some Spanish Cypress on the usual sites but no one seems to have any?

Any tips on where to find some? (apart from knocking down a tree in my local village cemetery)

I thought there's little to no cypress from Spain to buy 'new' but most of the same species of cypress comes from other Mediterranean places, a lot coming from Turkey.

Maderas Barber have a 200 Euro minimum, I think MadInter, Octopus don't have a minimum spend and have cypress in stock.

Why does it have to be Spanish?
Isn´t cupresus sempervirens good enough?
There are very few cypresses left in Spain which are big enough.

www.Akustikwood.com has nice "Mediteranean cypress" at very reasonable prices.

They are very slow to respond. One time I waited a month with no response and then sent them another email with NEW ORDER in the subject and they got back to me two weeks later (saying they would be sending the order in a couple of days; and they did). It's weird, but their stuff is good and those low prices include shipping too.

Joan
If you buy wood outside EU, you normally end up with an extra 30% in tax if you import it to Spain

madinter has great cypress.

A +1 for Akustikwood. Try Octopus too, also Turkish. But I've gotten my entire cypress stash from Akustikwood and am very happy with it.

I have bought from Akusticwoods as well.
It was ok. Like 2A quality from madinter...... So, living in Spain, I buy from madinter.
