Am I doing somethin wrong?

Hey folks, I'm struggeling with a six note arpegio like this:

E--------0
B------1--1
G----0------0
D--
A-3
E-

I've practiced that pattern a lot but I'm just not able to play it tight and clean at speed as you can see it in that video:

Whats my problem?

Are you planting?

I've also found that nail shape and length play a significant role with arpegios like this. Might be worth re-examining yours.

Doesn't sound that bad to me.

Standard practice tech:
practice in alternate rhythms, swing, reverse swing, gallop, reverse gallop
practice emphasizing one particular note or finger
practice in "chunks", breaking it down into smaller sections and emphasizing those
sequential plant
full plant

repeat X your age for each of those ideas.

I have a trick for that. Practice full plant pima like you were just grabbing a chord, but break it up fast. THen only play the m finger on the B string, and move a note around as if it is a melody. so pima m!!! and make the m note stop rhythmically so you have this fast phrase pimam...pimam....pimam... etc and keep at it till it is fast as you want. then add i into the equation.

Next work on some niño ricardo falsetas.

Hey Jof I have been following your posts and it looks like you are doing everything right !!!

Your ear is staying far ahead of your hands. Keep patient and things will stay that way.

D.

These are deceptively tricky beasts. I've been trying to nail down some of these from Serranos "Flamenco Concert Selections" in the piece "Posada" (this transcription is simply lousy with arpeggios).

I can play the notes, I can play them in time, but Serrano gets this crisp, bouncy, percussive feel to it. My arpeggios are more like mushy oatmeal. I'm lacking something, but don't know what.

Haha já estava à espera que pusesses isso.

Ou plantas ou semeias, plantar sementes não é nada.
