I'm sure he's not but this is still one of the most ridiculous picado exercise run throughs I've ever seen. I was rummaging through the foro archives for tips about picado and came across this and felt like it should be bumped for all to see again.

I, on the other hand, don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs. I'm hopeless!
That's awesome man, sometimes it seems like I'm the only one. One of my favorite Humberto stories is when he visited Paco as he was working on material for a new album (Sólo quiero caminar, I believe), and Paco offered Humberto some cocaine. Humberto's response?
"I don't need drugs -- I am always high anyway. God gave me an injection to last a lifetime!"

Payo drinks wine and sherry though, no?
He's always saying "Un brindis" and toasting on his videos..
He actually drinks very rarely, but he likes the flamenco culture and environment associated with drinking -- not in excess, but to compliment the atmosphere. Or, as he likes to say, "for to stimulate" one's playing. :P

A guy comes to the doctor, who tells him to quit smoking, drinking, drugs and sex. "Will I live longer?" the patient asks. "Not really, but it'll seem so" the doc replies.

touché
yet so many composers and players made use of such substances and activities and yet the legacy of their work can't be denied. perhaps it is not because of this, but in spite of it

If you had to weigh all the musical innovations that were inspired by substances to all the music we missed out on due to substance abuse I have a feeling we've missed out on more then we've received. I'm not completely anti-substance though, I'm a pothead who loves his beer, but people(artists specifically) tend to get a little out of control.
