Sevilla in January !

Hi all,

I'll be in Sevilla from the 7th to 14th of January, does anyone know good bars with Flamenco, luthiers to visit (F. Barba,A. Dominguez,J. de. Jimenez....?) secondhand guitar shops (J L Postigo, A Bernal...?)?. I'll go to Granada for one day and Malaga as well, many Luthiers to visit there I guess. Do Luthiers have 2ndhand guitars for sale? To many questions, sorry, I hope someone can help!

Thank you and see you from Australia.

Hi,

Unfortunately, in Seville there is not a really good luthiers. You can find in internet xxx from Seville, but if u will be there, there is nothing seriously. Only one shop but there isnt really good guitars. I suggest you Granada, but 1 day will not be enough ;)
About the tablaos, another story. There is a lot of good places, for example :
1. Pena de la alfalfa http://pfninodelaalfalfa.blogspot.co.uk/
2. La Caja Negra ( is not a tablao or pena, but in a fridays usually a really f**ing good "amateur" musicians, dancers, singers )
3. La Carbonería is a tablao ( usually free ), when I was a last weekend, the show finished around 11 pm. But after you can find a people who is playing, dancing, etc..
Always depend for lucky, but check in internet before you going there about programs.
And of course If you walking in a street, you will find a lot lot lot of posters, ads about tablaos, and you can book a ticket there but usually these tablaos for the tourist.
I never been these places but is not meaning there is not a good people.
I prefer the little tablaos, penas, and not a shows.

Good Luck! :)
