Understanding letra

As far as I know, I'm the only person in all of upstate New York (the state from just north of New York City to the Canadian border) who is singing flamenco. I have lived (and loved and lost) in Spain, am fluent in Spanish and have been listening to flamenco for the past 20 years. I'm with the only full troupe - guitarist, cajón player, dancers - in upstate New York, too. Our audiences love us, but then again, we're not playing in Spain. :-) Since we do get the occasional Spaniard, and because we're trying to be as authentic as possible, I like to get the letra right and to convey the emotions that arise from a correct understanding of the letra. But there's the rub; I often don't understand it because it's sung and because it's pronounced differently from my rather standard Spanish. So tonight I'm listening and listening to a young Estrella Morente here: http://youtu.be/LTu_npk4NFo ... and I just can't get much of it. Is there anyone on the forum who can help me get that letra? Thanks! Lonnie

Lonnie
