I can't imagine a 1923 Santos Hernandez guitar! "I am not worthy to play"
Nor was I, Kalo, but who would pass up the opportunity?
Cheers,
Bill

He received the guitar this morning and it's already up on ebay...
Well, it's out of my hands and hopefully someone will like..

Interesting... I have seen the price on EBay go from $1200, to $1000, and now to $895. I had said over in the classifieds section that Ron would sell it a lot cheaper off of EBay. It saves him money not going through EBay...
I would say if someone wants it, call him up and offer him $600 and he may take it. He would for sure take $800 at most after shipping, but I bet he would take a lot less... $650 after shipping, or $700 after shipping. Now that he's gotten it back, he probably wants to move it more than ever...
He listed it for $1049.00 and I got it for $800.00
I am a girl, so, I am sure he wasn't going to come down any lower for me.
I asked him if he listed high because it looked like a Conde even though it was a Student Custom Flamenco, he replied well, "it's not just a student flamenco, it's in between a Student and Concert Navarro Flamenco! Fransico put his personal touch on the bracing...
From what I saw it's a "pimped" out student flamenco guitar that sounds NICE and looks like a Conde
If someone wants it, I highly doubt he'll come down $650.00!
Look at the bid! It's starts at $895.00! That means either you bid the same amount or bid higher!
I would be surprised if he lets it go for $650.00!
He won't even let his regular Student Blanca Flamenco go for less than $700.00
Oh, by the way it's NOT Ron Hudson who is selling it.. ..
This Seller got it from Ron Hudson at Memorial Music! Ron was stocked iwth plenty guitars and didn't want to have a custom on his hand....
a pimped out student guitar? did the fretboard go up and down with a push of a button? were there neon lights inside of the guitar? did the tuners have spinning gears?

As a matter of fact yes
Well, maybe, I shouldn't of used the word "pimped out", however there isn't many if any Navarro Studnet Flamenco Guitar's that have a headstock, bracing and color that looks like a Conde..

Oh, I see... I thought that you had said you bought it from Ron. I guess that would or could still be the case, and Ron just had you send it to one of his dealers, who wouldn't let it go for such a low price.
Its still a hell of a lot of guitar for the money, and $1000 would be a fare price to me, so at the starting bid its a great deal. If not for that damn rosewood fretboard I may would even jump in on it!!!

Nope, Ron, was stuck with the guitar when the buyer walked away from it!
Ron, gave the Navarro Conde to another Seller!

Well, being that I had it in my hands! It is a beautiful "Conde look a like" but still sounds like a Student Flamenco Guitar.. I will say that it resonates nicely!!!
I don't know if it is worth $1000 and up!
As I was reading the description the Seller now says that Fransico Navarro made it himself..
Well, again, I had the guitar in my HANDS and it is not made by Franisco as there was no signature inside the label..
I was told that Marlan (his son) made it, but, Franisco fine tuned the bracing... Whatever that means?
Well, he does have another student blanca flamenco guitar on Ebay right now that he list for $749.00 and on that bid it says:
$749.00 or best offer...
I hear he is willing to let it go for $700.00...
I realize now that I got caught up on the Conde look and was fooled by the CONDE BRACING jargon and that FRANSICO himself graced it by fine tuning the brace
It was hard for me to admit it...
If any beginner/intermediate player is interested in this Navarro just beware that this Seller is trying make this STUDENT flamenco guitar more than what it is! I guess this justfies him jacking the price up!
Don't do what I did or you'll end up spending an extra $266.65 for stocking fee and sending it back.
This is somewhat amusing but let's be fair here, Marlon builds a good guitar. I just had the opportunity to play one of his latest flamencos with the Conde design and it was a very good instrument. A friend of mine from Houston brought it over awhile back. The workmanship and finish was very good and I wish I could collaborate with him to build a 1955 Nino Ricardo flamenco style Sobrinos de Esteso.
