Listened to this last night and it really shot to the top of my favorite accomp.'s list, and thought it could be a really cool thread and a chance to here some great guitar work and singing. So here it is

At first I thought you meant palo, but did you mean guitar accompanyment in general?
If it's fandangos you like, for me it's nino de gloria style and this guy does it great:
If it's guitar accomp no one is better than Cepero for me. There is a live concert (festival flamenco gitano 1) of buleria and Maria sings perla stuff, but the guitar accomp is amazing

Great idea for a thread.
Two players immediately come to mind. Firstly, Antonio Carrion . I don't have anything particularly insightful to say about his playing, I just love it. He always seems to do the right thing.
Then there's Rosendo Fernandez . He's possibly less well known than Antonio Carrion. I know nothing about him. I think he may be from Murcia as he always seems to be in demand for the Cante de Las Minas at La Union.

My two favorites have already been mentioned. Melchor is by far my favorite of the “old school” guys, and I think he’s particularly great in the slow, jondo type stuff solea, siguiriyas, fandangos too. His tone, his sensitivity, dynamics, the way he plays around with empty space to dramatic effect, it’s all so good.
Cepero’s my absolute fave when it comes to upbeat stuff like bulerias and tangos. Super tight and funky, lot’s of space, and a lot of creative, playful falsetas.
I’m starting to come to a late appreciation of Parilla de Jerez. I’ve always known that he’s one of the greats, but he used to sound more “generically” Jerez to my ears, unlike someone like Cepero whose sound and toque are instantly recognizable to me. But I’m now starting to get my ear around Parilla and he’s becoming a favorite in all the Jerez stuff, bulerias, tientos, siguiriyas, etc.
I won’t bother to post any links since you can just plug these guys’ names into youtube and whatever you get will be fantastic.

Tomatito accompanying Camarón is the best accompaniment i hear, those two really breathe together...makes me want to play and sing every time i listen to them... as far as guitar and cante go together, my favorite example is Gerardo's album with Carmen Linares, but of course, that's more like cante accompanying the guitar :)

Accompaniment is all about marriages of styles, I can't imagine these ladies not working this this guy. For Fernanda por Solea a the cuple stuff Bernarda sings. Although I like Marote and Diego with them too.
I agree about Cepero, and his work on Santiago Donday's last recording was great for the way he did push things forward, but with out pushing one bit. Cepero is genius.

Too keep it from getting too Jerezocentric, I like these two guy together. This recording is poor, but the way that accompany together is in groove all it's own. I like al the back and forth between guitars playing lead lines, never losing sight of dance. There's lot of sensitivity to working texture, space and build up with the singer.

Speaking of fandangos. This one may be a little dated for some, But personally I love the accompaniment by Manolo Sanlucar. The first little duo falseta is great! And I love the way the chords come in at 1:05. He says so much straight away with just the chords and rhythm.

gerardo is not super well known for accompanyment, he only has 2 full discs, Indio Gitano and Carmen Linares. The first one is quite exemplary IMO, and a shame he did not record more along those lines with different singers. This is end of a guitar concert obviously, but singing in beginning and at 2:48.
