Zyryab = Fandangos?

Would you guys say Zyryab is a Fandangos?.. ultimately in Taranta key? I'm working on a part in Finale/.pdf since I can't seem to find one anywhere.

Looked on the PdL foro too - seems it's a matter of emailing someone for a copy. No luck there.

If anyone has a minute to double check my work, I'd appreciate it much. I'm just doing the accompaniment at the moment - trying to get the chords right..

It seems to me that it is in fours not sixes and thus more like a Zambra or Tangos than Fandangos.

No. It's not in 4, it's simply in 3/4. NOT fandangos, though one could borrow form flamenco rhythms to superimpose. Live they sing estribillos of fandango (it's not fandango form by any stretch) but also solea, buleria por solea, buleria, and lately duquende sang siguiriyas over the compas of this piece. The ORIGINAL piece was based on "meeting of the spirits" by the mahavishnu orchestra...a true fusion of styles.

Thanks Ricardo! If you have time and interest, would you check out my transcription of the 2nd guitar? If not, I totally understand.
And you probably have all you need to teach this song, but I'd be happy to offer the part for your use if that's worth anything. (maybe you already have it?)

(I'm noting it in standard, w/ TAB staff underneath. Which, incidentally, I already started in 6/8 and am well onto page 2, so I'll probably keep it that way for now, simply cos I have a deadline of this Fri and too much else to get done. The goal is to present it in a manner suitable for use by jazz players interested in using this tune, w/ parts fully transcribed, and other parts w/ voicings and "slash rhythm")
