Beautiful. I fell in love with Angra dos Reis in Rio de Janiero myself. Senna hung out there at the time, too. Wish I had the money to bum around the world just meeting people and taking photos right now.

Never been to Recife, but I made it to Rio de Janeiro and a few other places several times. Had breakfast in the favela atop the Morro da Cabra and watched the great fiery ball of the sun rise out of the blue Atlantic. One of the most magnificent sights on the planet. Luiz Bonfa's "Samba de Orfeu" rang in my mental ear.

The petite brunette smiled sweetly and drank her coffee.

You've got that right, Ron! My wife is from Brasil. I met her in the U.S. when she was finishing her university work. We had gone together about six months, when she went back to Brasil to work as an interpreter for the doctors and nurses on the hospital ship SS HOPE. I joined her in Natal for three months during the summer of 1972, between semesters working on a Master's Degree. The President of Project HOPE put me to work as a deck hand on the ship and gave me a bunk with the crew and three meals a day. Great stuff!

Marta, (now my wife, then my fiancee) and I took off for two weeks and visited Recife, Salvador (Bahia) and a bit of Pernambuco. I would have to say that Brazilian women are consistently about the best looking women I've seen. Close rivals in beauty, however, are the women of Colombia. Colombianas and Brasilianas are equally stunning. The major difference (due to climate and certain cultural characteristics) is Brazilian women wear less clothing!

Cheers,

Bill

Now that you have brought up the topic of Brasil, I want to recommend one of the finest movies I've ever seen, the 1959 film by the French director Marcel Camus, entitled "Orfeu Negro," or Black Orpheus. Based on the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice, it was shot entirely in Rio de Janeiro during Carnival. The dialogue is all in Portuguese, but one can follow the action without knowing the language. And one of the great things about the film is the sound track. It is just great Brasilian carnival music.

Cheers,

Bill

I know an Equadorian fairy named Isa who is to die for.

Me´s been only to Costa Rica.
What impressed me was the female Ticos walk. So elegant and feminine!
- And those round butts.

But all in all, I think the most perfect of outer appearance and proportions to be found in the northern hemisphere, like say in Denmark.
Then again, the Irish / Brits have stunning ladies too, ... places like California aren´t exactly shabby either ... And Russia is bursting of beautiful women, only that they often behave like princesses and focus on material status, which I don´t like.

Actually, there seem lots of beauties in much of the world ...
Also in the Near East, where I´m now: Ancient western travellers already used to describe breath-taking faces crossing their ways.
Indeed, every once in a while mind-blowing beautiful faces, eventhough too often underlaid with short legs, flat pear base and an overconscientious, less appealing style of walking.

I prefer natural beauties who seem not aware / not coquetting with what they have. And my subjective impression is that such can be found especially among the Irish ( with the Brits besides still showing well-rounded upper departments, unlike of what I have seen from rather androgynously proportioned Brazilians / Columbians ).

Remembering an Irish girl named Elgin from a New Year´s Eve night. mmmm ... Perfectly even from tip to toe. It doesn´t get any more good looking than that.

Wow, Ruphus, I don't know where or how many Brasilianas and Colombianas you have seen. But your description of them as "androgynous" certainly does not accord with my experience. I have spent time in both Brasil and Colombia, and "androgynous" is the last word I would use to describe the majority of the female population of both countries.

Cheers,

Bill

I can only refer to what I see in the media, and that would be mostly small balconies. With the typical performers on Rio´s carnival anyway.

Granted, many of modern men seem to like it tiny, but I am a caveman.

Oh come on Ruphus....there are amazing women EVERYWHERE in the world.

A couple of years ago I was shopping in the supermarket when I saw a tall, beautiful, elegant, Middle Eastern looking lady with long, luxuriant black hair and whom I swear to God, had the biggest, most shapely natural breasts I have ever seen in my life!
She was only wearing a bra and thin cardigan, slacks and high heels and was carrying a small baby in a harness.

Now I'm not a "tit man" by any means, but I did have to make a few detours with my shopping cart just to pass down the same aisle as her a few times.

Brightened up my day!

cheers,

Ron

Met one like her several times in the capitol here.
Indescribable. She seemed interested just as well; but I was warned of her being crazy in an unpredictable way, unfortunately.

Weird how often the crazy chicks seem to feel attracted.
Must be that I´m radiating insanity myself. Where´s my tin hood gone, BTW?

Well Ruphus, I can't say she was "interested" or anything...
The baby told me that somebody else was getting his needs met and that kid was sure well fed.

cheers,

Come on Ron, just email her and tell her how completely beautiful she is. It's not classed as stalking (yet ). Sometimes you just have to do stuff, no matter the consequences.

How many times have I been told that extremely attractive women often times will appreciate approach, as noone would be daring to.

I was waiting for a pressure pot in a dental laboratory, having just a vacant moment in the midst of the usual working stress, taking a quick look out of the window. Couldn´t belive my eyes while wathcing a 1A specimen of the other gender park her car and leaving.

All the choice I had was to do something that I would consider silly and absolutely useless, but as it was all I could do ...
Grabbed a notice block and wrote something to the extend of: "Sorry for being so banal, but having just seen you through a window of the building next to you, I can´t withstand putting this paper on your wind shield. My tel.-no. is XXXXXXX."

Unexpectedly she rang my phone in the evening. Her voice quite as beautiful as her visual appearance. No, she wouldn´t find the idea of that notice behind her wipers trite at all, but really liked it.

The conversation must have been lasting for about two hours or so.
After some time she admitted to be a femme fatal, though; something I had experienced of enough already, knowing of such kind of mates being not for me.

Heartbreaking for a nail to say farewell too a super magnet, before even having spend an evening or two, but it can be just the right thing to do before a hammer comes down.
