RE: Look what Doggie found upstairs! (in reply to Ron.M)
Hehehe, that would be something! Guess one would be wanting to vanish into the floor, and then start making up some unrelated excuses for how such item came about.
RE: Look what Doggie found upstairs! (in reply to Ruphus)
Thing is....the dog would either lay down in the corner of the room and start chewing it and playing with it and would be difficult for everyone to ignore...
OR
If you tried to grab it quickly and discreetly, the dog would think it was a fun game and run round the room and drop it and pick it up again and tease you with it as you tried to get it.
If you gave up and ignored it and tried to laugh it off, the dog would be running up and pushing it in the faces of your guests, then dropping it at their feet to throw for a fun game. Waiting with tongue hanging out and wagging tail and a big, happy face.

Well, if that´s not funny what is?! Can´t stopp smirking, imagening the situation. Just when you thought it couldn´t get any worse, the dog dragging that thing to the people ... hehe |OD |OD
Boy, - think I would have moved over to Kamchatka peninsula, had some cosmetic surgery and changed my name to Victor Krassnayew or so. hehehe
Yet, folks won´t really mind as much as an affected person might think. Rather laugh their heads off for years to come.

Thing is, my old Mum (were she still alive) would have been laughing and trying to grab it off the dog and saying "What is it anyway....is it a baby toy or something?"

I understand golf was invented in Scotland. Is that true?
So the story goes, although I don't think the idea of using a stick to knock a little ball into a hole in the ground is anything to be particularly proud of.
The guy who thought that up must have been at a really loose end that day.
