GRR!!!! Tomatito played twice in Cop...

Tomatito played twice in Copenhagen!!
HELL AND ****IN ****!!!
It takes only 2 hours by train from where i live!!!

Listen.

Early this vinter i contacted Tomatito management who answered belive it or not.
I told them that there are a huge intresst in this kind of music in sweden.
They said that they had thought about sweden but that it would cost to much money to send 9 people to sweden playing only small festival and Jazz clubs.
Then he shows up in Denmark!!!grrr!!
It´s only a month since he played.. TWICE!! Two diffrent dates....
I have the money to just leave everything to go and see him

!!! i feel the urge to break something!!!

Henrik

Henrik, I feel sorry for you, but you must understand that Denmark is a lot more important than Sweeden when it comes to art and stuff like that. I mean, what do you actually have in Sweeden besides forest (skog...jävla skog, pripps blå ock tjock korv på ICA grillen)

Now, please don't kill me, it's just a joke. and you're right, it's not fair.

That's rotten luck Henrik, I know how you must feel.
When I was in Tarifa in the '70's I was getting bored hanging around the beach, so I bought a paper and went back to the pension/bar place I was staying at.
I got a beer and opened the paper and to my amazement there was an advert for a Paco de Lucia concert in Cadiz, on that day and in just a few hours time....!!
I ran to the owner and asked her where and when I could get a bus to Cadiz.
She pointed out the window and said "Right there....that bus that's just leaving right now".
The next bus wasn't for 2 hours and that would have been too late for the concert...
I couldn't believe it!!
Come all the way to Spain and miss PdL.. live.. just up the road!!
If only I'd bought the paper half an hour earlier...
Goddamit!! &~@£$%!!!

So I know how you feel!

Then again...I was strolling around Madrid one evening, at a loose end and passing by a theatre I saw a notice saying that Sabicas was playing there, one night only.
Jeez... my mind boggled...I thought he was in Mexico..??
I looked at my watch and it was like right now!!
I ran up to the box office and they gave me a ticket.
So I went in and saw The Maestro himself.... and it was great!!
Win some lose some...

cheers

Ron

Ron,
If that was in 1974, then I was at that concert. That was before the sextet. He play solo the first half and was accompanied by his brother Ramon the second half. You missed a good concert.

I think I posted here that a couple of months ago I missed Tomatito in Utrera. I'm living in Utrera and had the night off! Needless to say, the next day I saw the advertising posters everywhere.
