RE: Moraito y Fernando de la Morena ... (in reply to ralexander)
Excellent video of the Morao clan (the long video posted by ralexander). The people who filmed it and appear in it are to be congratulated. I noticed a few mistakes in the translations.
17:47 diapasón = fretboard, not tuning fork (same word in Spanish).
20:14 crisol = crucible, not anvil. A crucible is where metal is melted. It could also be translated as "melting pot" but that's usually understood to be "an origin of diverse sources," like a neighborhood where different kinds of people influence each other, which is NOT what he means.
30:25 novios = newlyweds, not lovers. Could also refer to a serious relationship before marriage, but definitely not "lovers."
32:49 Ojalá contigo fuera = "If only it could work with you" (some kind of situation, like a romance), not "If only I could be with you."

Interesting think is around 10' min when the Patriarch gives his feeling about the Unesco recognition. I wonder how many Flamencos think like him? I remember an itv by Luis el Zambo where he said he does not care a shiat about the Unesco label. Different version than the one given by the artists who are in good terms with the Consejeria. Or who want to remain in good terms with the local politicians. Politicaly correct...??

Here is Pepe with Mara Rey
Great moment at 16.59 in the documantary. Manuel Morao comments on Pepe's playing telling how no one played like that before he did, Diego winks and smiles at Pepe - I have a feeling that's not the first time they've been reminded!
