I was surprised to read that Paco de Lucia was touring and even more surprised to find out he is coming to Texas in April. So, I quickly purchased my tickets. Center seats, 2nd row. Does anyone know if he has a new album coming out or he's just touring just to tour?

2nd row, nice. I didn't find out that he was going to be in Vancouver (4 hours from me) until a couple days before or I would have loved to go. I can't find anything online about a new album, but I really hope that he has something in the works.

Hola Tom!
I met his nephew in Seville who said that Paco had some new material that he was planning on recording... but there's no schedule as such for an album.

Not quite true..Paco is recording an album based on copla Español. Its been talked about in the spanish press.I think its due for release later this year or early next year.

What's he going to do this time? Play a double-necked flamenco guitar - one blanca, and one negra? (I know that's crap - just trying to be silly). Or is he going to solely use chords that span 13 frets each, and play at no less than 300 bpm?

I have the feeling that he might introduce tapping into the repertoire of flamenco techniques... this is not good news for Van Halen!!!
