the hotels rates stay fixed, i think. but they fill up fast. if you're getting an apartment, they'll definitely jack up the price. get the tickets to the shows you want to see ahead of time, because they'll go fast. when you get there check out tio zappa and duende copas. their shows start when the main shows of the festival finishes. on your way to granada, it might be worth it to check out sevilla. there's some really high level flamenco there. once in granada, the folks at carmen de las cuevas will help you find good places to see flamenco. don't go to tablao flamenco albayzin. and DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT go to raiz y duende. seriously.... i'm so serious. i went march-april. the first week of march was a little drizzly and cold. from the second week on, the weather was pretty perfect.
