I must have been about 18 when I learned Neil Young's song: A Man Needs a Maid. When I sung it I use to think it was a funny song but today I finally understand the profoundness of it. I can no longer stand the mundane tasks of laundry, cleaning and cooking, it takes away to much of my time from the guitar.

Thats one of the perks of living in Latin America - maids are common place. I have a lady that comes to my house every two weeks. She cleans from top to bottom, does my laundry, irons everything, basically leaves my house spotless.
She works about 8 hours and I pay her $20 USD, a little more than most maids make. I only take care of the regular cleaning, like dishes and laundry when I'm out, but I just wait for her to come back and clean up again!

Since I started doing washing up in hot soapy water my nails have become really thick, durable, hard and flexible.
So work that one out...
actually, it could be a number of things that ruin my nails. but i blame it on washing the dishes so i can have an excuse when my girlfriend tells me to do them.

So $5 a day and she's in every day for 2 hours to prepare dinner and do all the dishes... WOW, paradise.
