Hi everyone Sorry I havn't posted for a while, I have been quite ill with a very nasty abscess it has been four weeks now and I've had the tooth out but I'm still ill and on the old anitbiotics..so who knows what is wrong with me..
Anyhow as I'm regaing strength I am studying a favourite of mine La Barossa by Paco, I'm half way through the piece, memorized it and got it in time thanks to The "flamenco master"... It has taken a long time to get here, many hours of practice, relaxing playing it at half speed etc, breaking it down into sections and then puting it all together...still struggling though.
I was wondering if any of the guitarists out there have tried learning this piece? And if so have they any useful suggestions on how to learn it better, etc...
I know I will never play like paco, but as I love this piece I would like to play it like Grant, in my own style, any feedback would be much appreciated.

Hi Musicalgrant
I never played Barrosa, but want to wich you good health with your tooth. My sister had an absess under her tooth, and she called me a lot, she had evil pains. So hang on there! It will get better.
Perhaps it is a confert, refering to the barossa song, that I am working on La Lola from Paco Pena, and finally, after 3 years, it is acceptable to perform with it!

Hiya Grant, sorry to hear about the illness. Get well soon!
If memory serves me correctly, Jerzy plays this one and he recorded a video which he uploaded a while back. Can't remember if he's a member here but he posts at FT and also the new ToddK forum. Post something 'FAO Jerzy' and I'm sure he will pick it up.
