Fretboard cracks

I am looking at an acoustic/electric flamenco guitar for a gig guitar, and noticed something strange while changing the strings--a series of cracks in the fingerboard. There are several, some of them six inches long, and they run all the way through the wood (you can see it by looking in the hole). I was wondering what effect this could have on the guitar, as far as causing structural problems in the future, and what effect it would have on the price?

Muchas G's..

Wise man! I knew you'd come round to my way of thinking.
Next thing you know you'll be looking at cutaways

What guitar is it, Mike? What's the fingerboard made from?

I've noticed on some guitars with rosewood fingerboards the grain can be a little 'open' and uneven and its not as 'tight' and smooth as ebony, but I wouldn't actually call this cracking. If you are sure these are cracks I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

Jon,
I'm pretty sure these are cracks... it's the Antonio Aparicio AA 200 E. It is a cutaway, and it is extra-thin. Light and fun to play. It sounds not that bad to me acoustically, and it's pretty good all around. Sloppy construction inside and out, but nothing noticeable unless you really look close.
