Flamenco and Flamenco inspired produ...

Hello Foreros,

This is a bit of a plug.

So apart from playing, I also enjoy music production and I would like to share some of the tracks that I have produced recently. You will find a couple of tracks I have done. I am very new to this industry and I did all by myself (from recording, mixing, mastering and album art producion). Let me know what you think :)

Ole! Excellent stuff mate! We're going to have to talk more, as I am becoming interested in the same stuff you mentioned regarding music production. I am very far off though from you, as I only have a microphone, and that's it.

Sounds fantastic and professional imo. just like something you hear on one of those Jose Merce CDs or something.

I like your little Basement Studio.

Please share more details, like what type of Gear, MIC, Hardware, Software, Soundcard, EQ, Reverb, etc. you use, specially when recording flamenco guitar.

Thanks guys! Your comments and criticism would mean a lot to me since this is where I could find people who love and appreciate flamenco and music inspired by it.

My setup is very simple actually since I dont have much of a budget and still starting out. I have a Macbook Pro running Logic Pro 7. My Audio Interface is M-Audio Profire 610. Thats it.

Since I am beginning, I only have 2 mics, A Gauge USA ECM-87 which is use 90% of the time and a Shure Beta 57a. They are about $140 each. I haven't tried any of the expensive mics out there so I just try to make the most out of what I have.

I have no external or analog effects, all of them are actually just Logic's plug-ins. I just try to copy and emulate what I hear on my favorite recordings and play with plug-ins to achieve something close.

I have to say that I found recording palmas and taconeo really challenging and mixing them to sound right in the mix is quite something. With the Guitar it's Shure on the fingerboard and Gauge on the Soundhole. With the Cajon its Shure on the tapa and Gauge on the hole in the back.

I hope these tech info helps and maybe some of you guys have some suggestions also?
