Some old, obscure records might be useful, but you might not find anyone with Vicente's sound back then.

problem is, a lot of those are published under us laws. 70 years after the death of the last author they will be public domain....

Well if he IS a pro dancer, then he should have no problem finding a guitarist that has recorded SOMETHING. And should have no problems either letting you guys borrow a track, or making a fair deal of some sort, etc, so long as credit is given. I am sure that in such a position, Vicente himself is only a few degrees of separation away.

If this is simply NOT possible because the dancer is not in such circles of proffessionals yet, I would then not worry at all about just using Vicente's song. No lawyer is gonna waste time and money to get nothing in return on such a persuit.
