RE: Anyone want technique exercises?... (in reply to rombsix)
You are welcome, amigos!
At 2:15 I am doing the triplet rasgueado with p and i (up, down). This is to practice the rotation of the wrist as well as a great way to relax your hand.
The strings I am using are:

Thanks Grisha! I remember that stage in the Colombianas video. I remember it from other videos, Pinonate and Nunez' seguiriyas. You should upload them somewhere, they are easily among the best performances that i have seen so far!

Nice Alzapua material Grisha. I really like those exercises. It doesn't help when the left side of my thumbnail is so stubborn to grow to proper length.

Hey Grisha, I am sending you some emails concerning doing a concert in Pittsburgh PA with no response maybe it is going to your junk mail. Can you email me so we can discuss at chapman_g@yahoo.com

You really believed me? I was not serious Grisha. I wish I had that alzapua speed and control you have. No need to prove anything Grisha. I already know what you can do. Is there anything you can't do?

Thnx Grisha.... Just a side note... if you can do a video of "La Canada" de PDL at slow tempo to learn, that would be great. I like that piece very much.

I would like to add my thanks to the others Grisha. Most DVD and internet lessons seem to focus on teaching falsettas, while beginners like myself, can really benefit from exercises like these to develop a solid base before trying to learn more advance stuff. Cheers!

Okay, I know this is stupid and childish, but I wanted to upload a video showing how I practice speed, what kind of challenges I make up for myself. It's a bit of a show-off but fun. I noticed that my alzapua IS pretty slow and I need to work on it.

Very Nice Grisha. You certainly have the mega-speed in picado but if I were a bit picky, you lack a bit of punch. Maybe a bit more power in the picado? I guess to attain your level of speed and accuracy you need to make some sacrifices in the sound. I think it's a bit soft. I like your idea about fitting in a certain amount of notes in a set time frame. I hope you do not take my nitpicking the wrong way but just my opinion.
