I haven't heard of any members with an 8fp. Several people have the 7fc model. I have a 7fc and like it but it's really just a starter guitar. What do expect to pay for an 8fp?

I play an 8fp and an 7fc as well. They are basically the same guitar except that the woods differ, therefor also the weight of the instrument; the 8 fp has a slightly deeper low end and is a bit less resonant, less nasal than the 7fc.

I use them in the studio and find good use for both of them; the 7 mostly for melodic materials and the 8 for comping but I also often find myself reversing these roles depending on what is better sounding at that moment.

You could be wondering: why own two Alhambra's, both starter-guitars? Well, the 7fc was a gift and the 8fp a great deal which I could not resist. But way less than two thousand dollars - shop around is my only suggestion.

Good luck!

way too much agreed , but i borrowed one in Spain, 7fc, it was reall pretty decent sound, quiet deep in the bass, yet not as playable as say a ramirez fl2.

can u get a second hand guitar , the bernal guitars are meant to e good , as i think RON, has a sueno modelo ?

dont be in a hurry

my two cents: don't spend 2000 dollars for an alhambra! unless you tried one that you really like and have compared with other guitar makers.
i bought a second hand alhambra 10f to start for +/- 700 Euros, that was OK.
for 2000 dollars you are in the range of a new or second hand A. Eliasson / Hmnos Sanchis-Lopez / Lopez-Bellido etc. think about it, don't hurry :-)
