cramp in my thumb

hey anyone ever get cramp in their left hand thumb???

or any part of the hand for that matter?

I recently noticed my thumb cramping a little when I was playing my Playstation and now its started doing it a bit when i practice guitar.

its not painful at all. its probably the mildest cramp ive had but it def feels like th tendon across the top of my thumb is contracting and pulling my thumb down a bit..

guess ill just avoid guitar and ps3 for a few days....**** what else will i do??

hey, stu

i had a similar problem a little while back. i stopped playing my roommate's play station, and i haven't had a problem since. i also use an external computer mouse instead of the built in laptop one. this helps keep the stress out of my right hand.

its definately because of playstation and not guitar

once i had this one game which i played for 8 or so hours straight.
and after that i couldn't do anything with my hands.

i guess the only thing that playstation improves for guitar is: hammer on

it's all about technique, man. you have to learn how to move from one button to another with using too much energy. lol. what games are you playing? you must be playing some sort of intense fighting game.

do you have metal gear solid 4?

Ok cool guys! I will chill with the playstation for a bit. I would rather take a break from that than guitar......

When playing Playstation or Xbox games, you have to use the same philosophy
as you do with guitar.
Minimum pressure. Stay relaxed. Dont over press.

its so easy to get caught up in the game and press too hard.
