I've been a member here for a good while, but my renewed interest in flamenco has made me start actually posting. I figure it's a good idea to at least introduce myself before hounding you with beginner questions...
I'm, uh, Mitch. I'll be 40 soon, and I have a wife and three young daughters here in Arizona. I've played classical guitar for about thirteen years now, though I'm not great at it. I flirted with flamenco for about a year once, but eventually found my way back to classical again.
This time I mean it though! I'm looking forward to spending some real time trying to make some actual flamenco progress.
I know a bit about the history of flamenco and I have listened and watched for a long time. Flamenco really speaks to me - the cante goes right into my soul and hurts me sometimes, even if I don't understand the words. It's really very moving, passionate stuff as you all well know. It's magical to me.
I have a lot to learn but I will try not to bother all of you with too many questions. No promises though.
