Hey that view looks familiar. You're right it's great riding country. I'd love to come out and ride with you some time. Didn't you say there were some riding stables near you. We'll have to go out together. Looking forward to that beer on the terrace as well.

So I have been informed.
When I was very, very small (3 or 4) I had a Spanish nanny who taught me to ride bareback through the gorse plains of Berkshire (very painful) I hope I haven't forgotten how, but I suspect I may be riding Western style (the only way to travel). Apologías a los jinetes del caballo de Jerez.

I started riding about aged 4 and carried on till I got interested in boys with guitars. There's qquite a difference between the English and Spanish style, the Spanish dont trot and they keep their reins loose but control with the bit. I haven't ridden for a long time. Last time was in Barcelona when I was put on a horse that wasn't broken in properly The owners idea of a test as my friend had been boasting about my riding skills. Luckily I survived and we had a wonderful ride and both came home in one piece. From the age of about 8 I used to help out at the riding stables and because of my small size I would be used to break the horses in. In my twenties I went on to work in the circus but I promise you I wont try any tricks at the local riding stables. In fact I've learnt not to say anything in case some-one else decides to test my skills. A dream of mine would be to ride with the Rocio right across Andalucia. Hi HO silver away !!!!!!!! Kate
Wow! Congratulations on your purchase! Are you going to be able to get a broadband connection there? It looks like a really small town!
If my wife and I make it out next year (It's a toss up between Spain and Costa Rica), We'll make a point to grab Kate and Herald and drive on out (I'm sure they would have made many trips by then!).

First thing I checked after seeing the house. Wireless broadband from two transmitters in the mountains. Business rate is 20 Euros a month - not sure of the bandwidth, but it's always on. If it's too slow, I can always use satellite or move it up to a hosted service as it is now.
Hope you make it to Andalucía next year. Costa Rica is full of old crocs

I intend to go and check out Simons Butterfly house as soon as he gets back here. As for Harold, well you know how he is, the studio practically has a queue outside the door and we are working 7 days a week doing commercial sessions when we can and flamenco when there's no paying work. Right now we have El Moreno and his two cousins Sergio and el Cheyenne, all Habichuelas, recording a heart wrenching Farrucca and a Solea. We may have even got interest from a US label to team up with for promotion and distribution so we just want to keep up the high volume and quality work we are doing and the chances of Harold taking time out are slim. Still we can but try
