Putting on the Ritz

Due to certain financial circumstances, I have been obligated to look for some work, and yesterday I visited some of our nicest resorts with CDs, work experience, and dressed in my finest "Miguel de Maria, Spanish and Southwestern Guitarist" outfits (think black, opulent clothes, something like a cross between Antonio Banderas in Desperado and GQ). I have played in a lot of multi-million dollar private residences, resorts, and top-notch restaurants, but the Ritz Carlton is the nicest of all. The employees look like they are wearing designer clothes, the walls are decorated with antiques, no detail is spared in this incredibly rich hotel. As I waited in the lobby for the Food and Beverage Manager (that's who you ask for if you want a gig!), I saw Louis Gosset, Jr. stride in and be accosted by some people. In the cigar room, there was a radio telecast being done. I was taken by the manager into the Cafe, a gorgeous revelation of light and airy, yet still unspeakably splendid richness. The Ritz is the best!
