RE: bridge measure, space between st... (in reply to buleria74)
1st to 6th centre to centre i use 57.5mm I find this very comfortable. 60mm Is only an extra 0.5mm between each string. Which one do you find more comfortable that is the most important.
RE: bridge measure, space between st... (in reply to buleria74)
Id say there is an optimum for your handsize. Just one example, narrowing the strings will make your finger travel less when doing picado and pulgar. It may help when learning the technique. Also arpeggios will be different coz the handposition is different.
RE: space between strings - Mr. Elia... (in reply to buleria74)
The standard seems to be 57.5mm for many makers ie 11.5mm between strings, easier to measure although this often makes for 58mm if you add a tweak to the 5th and 6th.. Sometimes clients want more or less, depending on hand size, as Stephen Eden has said, which ever you find most comfortable!
