I found some very interesting things on my trip to esflamenco just now. Apparently Morente released a live album with more traditional cante (not that I care one bit if the man experiments!), and Saura's sequel to "Flamenco" will be out in September.
And hopefully I will be in España for both the Paco and the Saura releases!
Great a new album by Paco! But I hope Javier Limon is only involved as producer and not in the music itself... I had his latest album, listened one ime through and wasted it... It was like the old nino de Pura CDs...very cheesy..only pure jazz in Limons case.. Nino de Pura still played flamenco.
Well,.. anyway,.. this new album will become interesting! (And I hope there are no trumpets and flutes involved... and not duqende,..and I hope Paco doesnt sing by himself again.. hm.. And I hope so much.. and so on.. (@.@);.. )
Oh boy! I hope he has lots of electric bass and TONS of harmonica on this one, mixed in with le le le le choruses!!!! I can't wait! Too bad no USA dates. Anyone think he will play guajiras de lucia this tour???
prominent critic sent me a PM and told me that he heard rumors that all pieces on this CD are going to played by Nino Josele, because paco is tired. paco just composed them. and as we all know that paco is not going to give any concert after the release of his CD, no one can really be sure !
i am not sure if i am going to buy this CD. (maybe download it illegally for free)

Thats great rumors! I like Joseles playing a lot more than Pacos..^^ I will buy the CD for sure,.. otherwise how could I listen to it? I think these CDs which come out every 5-10 years have to be bought... 15€ over 10 years is not too much... I also allow some harmonica and lelelele....a la gipsy kings for that price..
I also have the impression Pacos style became more musically and less technically.. and of course more influenced by other genres and more adjusted to mainstream...

Who cares, as long as does the 'Entre Dos Aguas' encore like last time.
