Really nice, the colors, and how the font matches the dress! Only thing, it looks to me like she has 4 arms? Maybe include a guitarrist in there? In small, under the text... to show that they are unimportant, ahahaha... But cool, you are actually the first one who made a concrete proposal.
That dancer is from a photo by Lois Greenfield. She probably holds the copyright and could sue the foro for unauthorized use. Are there any other images you can use? Maybe from long-dead artists or stuff in the public domain?
Hi Leo, you were asking about that head stock. Check out andulusian guitars? I think you will find Ruben playing one! I think the signature could be Paco's
No, NO NO please leave the logo alone. I can't stand all of this change bullsh*t to freshen stuff up, make it more modern, to improve it, it is tired, we need to appeal to the younger generation, the metrosexuals, blah blah blah. There is nothing wrong with keeping things the same. Hey, if change is so good, lets change the Montreal Canadiens Logo!
I think the real innovation nowadays is to leave things as they are and connect to the past - if you can stomach it. That takes guts and innovation imho. Do it creatively and you got something.
Stuff is changing fast enough that it is nice some stuff stays the same.
Like does anyone miss the old ABC Sports theme music and visuals, crashing skier anr all - now what do they got, can anyone remember what it is? I haven't watched ABC in years, they are becoming irrelevant and have no anchor to hold onto. And look what CBC did, let the Hockey Night in Canada theme song go! The list goes on of disasterous changes - like New Coke. No I am not an old curmudgeon but I think I am getting there!

Is New Coke that old? What was that coke with 50% diet / 50% regular. I liked that one, I limited both my sugar and chemical intake.
Pepsi had a drink marketed for a short while recently called Pepsi Free - where the said in the advertisement that it was made with real sugar (it was cane sugar). Who was the genius behind that one!!!
Duh sorry if I sound dumb but surely a guitarist would better represent this forum than a dancer in a bata de cola of whatever colour.
Ok very funny, just read the whole thread and see you are all having a laugh. Ignore me. Just a thought but Belen speaks English am sure she will be amused when this pops up in her google alert !!!
Ahh we are back on the logo again.. cool. I remember we did this for the other foro which is now the Traditional only foro. I don't agree with the bailaora pic...I mean c'mon how many of us are really dancers here in the FORO? I appreciate cante y baile but I think this is predominantly a guitarist/luthier's foro...Amen to that! I suggest we use a flamenca blanca as the logo..maybe a peghead for peghead lovers or have some talented forum member(s) contribute their own design and we can vote on it...I know Doit and a few other will have some ideas especially with their Photoshop skills
It may be that a tocaor might be more representative, however, I thought we still harboured ambitions of having a more diverse membership. At least so we could pick their brains for the stuff we don't know ourselves...
Or was I wrong about that?
BTW Kate:
I'm always serous when I mention Ms. Maya. She's a dream.

If everyone had that attitude there wouldn't even be a Foro Flamenco.

True. The best thing we'd be able to do would be to write lots of letters to everyone simultaneously, ... assuming that we managed to all meet in the first place ... in some bar in some neutral part of the world that was easily accessible to all of us.
Or we could ask phone operators to put together some sort of conference call.
