born in NewZealand (only spent about 6 months there though) American 'till 25 Now German Spent some years in the Middle East as a kid and in Cameroun as an adolescent. I'd be a better guitarist now if I'd gotten more involved with Andalucian Gypsies and less with Thai monks...

Nerdy question from techno dunce here
How do you save the image on screen to .jpg like that? I assume you are not taking a photo of the screen. (I know how to right click and "save image as" but i'm talking about saving the screen shot)

On a PC there is a print screen function key or a combination thereof (on mine it is "FUNCTION/PRT SC") this copies the screen to memory. Open MS Paint, choose Edit then Paste or CTRL-V, crop then save as a JPEG.

Hello,
Born in Port-au-Prince, Haîti where from an early age I was infused by what the locals call "Compas-Direct".... the haitian name for the Funk, Duende, Rumba de esquina....
Now, many years onwards, living in Amsterdam, I'm still trying to grasp the scope and breath of that elusive Compas in its multitude of forms.
The Foro is the place where I throw out my anchor when in need of a new injection of knowledge and inspiration - I'm definitely hooked!

Hey Matic, what happened to the horse? It's all very well using a picture of Gerardo struggling to keep up with you, but he's hiding your face anyway. I miss the horse.
Haha Estevan I'll see what I can do about that.

I got a shock to see how many swimming pools are hidden around our house on google but no luck embedding the map here for all to see nor of getting a screen shot.
I live in the Albaicin barrio of Granada, have done for 12 years now, originally from UK, born down South but raised in Newcastle and rebelled in Chester before scooting back to London as soon as I was able, then just kept heading further South

was gonna start new thread/post for this, but here seems like the time/place...
anyone able to tell me how to print these free (and actually quite substantial) previews?
Right click on the page (or the link), then "Save page as" and it will save as 'books.htm'.. Then you'll find two things have been saved: an htm. document called 'books.htm', and a folder called books.files. In the folder you'll find a bunch of image files, some of them wil be logos and stuff and others will be the pages of music. You may have to flip forward through the preview and save several times to get all the pages.

How's this? The pointer's maybe not exact, but close enough. You can see Rafa's place down on the right, too (directly below the swimming pool).
Images are resized automatically to a maximum width of 800px

thanks for that estevan, i couldn't get it to work. first i couldn't "save page as" cos it didn't come up as an option when i right clicked.... i tried to do it on the link and it saved.... the link, which just opened in a new tab, and without the score, just the surround.... never mind, i will have to try and work them out!
unless you or anyone else has any better ideas...?
ps maybe i shoulda started a new thread for this, can we start a new thread and move these posts across?
pps maybe better leave it, i'm going to spain tomorrow for 2 weeks so will be off foro
