Why do you want to know which metronome-sound the people like? Isn´t it for practice only? I mean.. if it clicks somehow..it´s ok...
well, true, but if i kept hearing a sound that i didn't like i would go crazy and my head might explode.
for instance, those digital metronomes that go "bleep bleep bleep." is it trying to censor my cursing because i hate it so much or is it trying to help me keep time? plus, it's so hard to hear.
didn't you say you use an mp3 player with compas loops to practice? im going to do the same thing but also with a regular metronome sound added. what kind of mp3 player do you suggest? im looking for a cheap one that works well. there's so many to choose from.

Could you tell me how to generate such a poll? I often tryed but never sucseeded..
you can post a poll in either general or luthiery.
here's what i did: so from the main page, click on general, at the top, under the flamenco lessons ad, to the left, there should be two buttons: new post and new poll then just click on new poll.
does the page load slow or something? or does it not work at all?

Yes, I have this one: my mp3-player Its not very expensive,.. I bought it for 12,800 Yen. Check your rate somewhere... But you can use any player you want. The cheapest is already good enough I think. Yes,. I also use loops and a metronome. When I learn something new, I cant play it in compas at first. So, for the first days a use a metronome with a streight beat (no 3/4 or whatever, just a plain beat), play along with that and dont pay attention to the compas. When I got the fingering at slow tempo, I work out the compas with the compas loops. And after that I work on details and raise the tempo step by step.
I sold my tuner, which was also my metronome, one or two years ago. I have some Compas tracks (for falsetas) on my mp3 player, and also some "click click" palmas tracks (for the real stupid excersizes). Its totally enough, and a much more pleasant sound than a metronome click.
None of them. They all accent in 3's. Better if you just have a tick...no accents.
the accents are there just to give an idea. i was thinking about making different ones, in fours, threes, sixes etc. but i'll probably just go with no accent. it'll save me time anyhow and should be enough. or maybe i'll go with ALL accents so i can REALLY hear it.
