Grisha, you fool, your picado lesson...

This is how PdL really does it, via the little known, yet highly effective "powerspeed" technique.

Now, all of you, go away, stop this "picado" **** and learn to do it like a real flamenco (really tense up that hand for extra speed - if you don't get some kind of serious injury within a few minutes, you're just not doing it right.):

Good, but how would you call this technique? Its not thumb, its not alzapua... he is inventing new techniques... what a genius

Beautiful. For it to work as well as this, the movement has to come from the elbow.

And of course, once you tense your thumb into paralysis, you may wish to take a knife and rub up it and down the string for a simlilar effect.

Wow!
At first I thought it was some kind of joke thing like the other guy on YouTube does dubbing over videos of famous guitarists, but....

He's actually giving a concert here!
Good crowd too!.....(I wonder what they are thinking? )

cheers,

Ron

To perform like that in public--you have to wonder why his judgment is so poor.

Maybe he owns a software company and the audience members are all his employees--that would account for the applause at the end.

ahhh, good old cod flamenco - reminds me of those "lead guitarists" in bedrooms who discover that double stroking a plectrum makes them twice as fast

well, lucky for us, he'll soon develop focal dystonia and we won't have to hear any new videos from him. i think it'd be funny if his fist got so arthritic it turned into a club lol.

Scary hand or what.

Clearly a loon - but nonetheless a grain of truth in what he says regarding movement from the middle joint.

You know guys...This is exactly the sort of thing that people said about Paco de Lucia when he first started to become known. A lone visionary, light years ahead of his time... no one could even see why he was a genius. They said it wasnt flamenco and they were right. Flamenco had to catch up with Pacos vision. I think we should all study those videos again.....we may well be glimpsing the future!!

Yup and the similarities don't end there either, eh Pimientito. Paco too was utterly utterly s#ite and made and a#se of even the simplest things consistantly.

Who knows maybe the next Leonardo da Vinci is right now in his mid twenties tracing over disney cartoons in green crayon to the delight of his awesrtuck friends.

I suppose we can never even hope to all have this kind of talent, so even in the future that you describe we won't all be able to play like that. But maybe thats for the best.

I guess the user was embarrassed by all of the commentary on this thread or the comment threads on YouTube? All the original videos are gone.

That`s a realy improvisation, out of the moment, with the adventure as musician to create a music what never will be the same. Guests of the concert recognize this and feel also deeper in moments of life.. This is my special communication. Jason Jean
