RE: Interior Sanding (in reply to n85ae)

I have a couple guitars, one of which is a Yamaha flamenco, if I feel around inside of it, it has that feeling you get for example after you have run a damp cloth over a piece of wood to raise the grain prior to sanding. Actually I can feel some of the braces feel like they were just sawn, and glued in place with the rough cut ends still there? :) It is internally a crudely made guitar ... However it is an amazingly good sounding guitar for the money I paid for it. Which probably speaks a lot for just the basics of guitar making. That the design, material, and bracing pattern determine to a large degree the sound of the guitar. That the fit and finish are important, but if the design and material are ok, then the guitar should basically sound good. Actually I noticed it because the guitar is my living room corner guitar, the one never cased. I noticed in the sound hole dust collecting on the first brace, and reached in to wipe it off. Then I thought, wow this is completely unsanded! Hence the question.
