The good professor has a ton of these videos. I love them because they are funny as sh&*&*!! I also like how his approach has evolved from out right saying that non-Andalusian guitars are ****e, to implying every other luthier knows not the secrets that the great professor and his ninja luthier know.

Search the foro, there exists a litany of threads on this mad genius.

When I see this much filing on the nut, I have to question why? Must be a way of adjusting intonation on a instrument of questionable quality.

He's not the only one to make this kind of nut slots. When well done the can function very well and allow for smooth tuning. But it's easy to make the slots too wide and that would make it disfunctional.

Well, he's the Master Shredder of the flamenco ninjas ... or so ...

Sorry Anders.

I just couldn't believe seeing such a poorly cut nut that isn't wide enough, the slot seems too big on one side, the spacing seems uneven. Then the gaps between the nut and the fretboard.

One of the nice things about ebony and rosewood fretboards is that they are very stable; they are also wear resistant. Maple, on the other hand, is very subject to change with changes in humidity. I don't know about the other woods he mentions.
