I'm excited to announce a new album -- a tribute to one of my favorite composers, Krzysztof Komeda (now sadly deceased, but perhaps second to Chopin in his native Poland). This album was commissioned by his sister, who heard my arrangement of a Komeda piece on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-LgkM7oH3k)
To sponsor the project, I'm using Kickstarter. Every little bit helps!
Please help spread the word about the Kickstarter -- a mention on Facebook, Twitter, etc can go a long way. Thank you!
P.S. Those of you who have been following my music probably know that I am also working an album entitled "Rainy Highway". Both it and the Komeda tribute will be recorded and released simultaneously, which is actually the reason why I need your help with this one.
For a man of 20 years old, you have already achieved so much. Your playing is sounding wonderful. I'm really impressed with the amount of music you have covered already. Imo your interpretations are always very tasteful, and performed with with an authentic and honest feel.

It makes me happy seeing you achieving so much!
Great work mate!
Thanks so much for the kind words Kris. I'm really hoping that this Kickstarter takes off, it would be a great honor to record this album. I'm still reeling from being contacted by Komeda's sister!
But I find the page you linked to rather confusing. I can´t find any album or titels of this CD...just some text...too much to read for sure. So what tracks are on it? What style of guitar playing is that? And can we hear more samples? Im curious. :)
EDIT: Ok now I see... you are still on the way recording..but u lack money? Man thats sad to hear. I hope you can make it.

Well here's the thing. I am currently recording "Rainy Highway", which will mostly feature original compositions and is 100% self-financed. Then I got an email from the Komeda estate basically commissioning me to record an album of only Komeda compositions -- so, a separate album.
Considering that I don't have the money to finance both projects on my own, I am really hoping that people help out.
As for the style of guitar playing, you can listen to my arrangements of Ballad for Bernt and Rosemary's Baby to get an idea. It's my usual style -- a mix of classical, flamenco, Brazilian, and jazz music.
Thank you guys so much for the kind words. I really appreciate it! Please help spread the word about the Kickstarter -- a mention on Facebook, Twitter, etc can go a long way. Thanks again!
P.S. It looks like the Kickstarter team chose my project as a "Staff Pick"!
The enfant prodige aspect is certainly stunning, and that you may have time to prepare such flawless performance while a pre-med student also quite remarkable, but it is your dream I find infectious and your passion truly inspiring.
Bravo [And, btw… your younger multi wind-instrument playing brother too deserves some praise, although humbly sidelined to give you center stage]
Daniel, I don't know if your are a member of delcamp forum. I recently contributed to another member of that forum via Kickstarter who was doing a recording of Miguel Llobet's works. You might try it. Good luck to you.

Thank you so much!! In truth, I think whenever Adrian and I perform it is a cohesive whole, but since he plays instruments that require accompaniment he has yet to perform solo (or, in fact, with an accompanist other than me).
I,m not unwilling to support the project, but i'm afraid the kickstarter project only accepts creditcard payments. Unfortunately i don't have/want a credit card (always pay in person, by bank transfer or using paypal), and i also don't have/want a facebook account which seems to be required to contact kickstarter for any questions about the subject.
Any way around all these?
I might not be able to visit the foro for the upcoming days but give it a look later on.

I've been looking into it and unfortunately it doesn't look like Kickstarter supports anything other than credit cards. :( I was considering opening up a separate PayPal account for this, but Kickstarter told me that it wouldn't add toward the total funds for the project.
Your achievements are to say the least impressive for a 20 year old. I'm very happy to support your project. Good luck with getting the funding you need.

Is money payed by credit cart more constructive than money payed by PayPal or bank transfer (assuming one keeps ones promise)?

I don't know why Kickstarter has this policy, unfortunately. It's less constructive in the sense that the $2000 goal must be met through Kickstarter for me to see any funds, otherwise I don't receive anything.
