Thanks for posting this Juan, I had never seen those.

Here are two more videos of Paco when he was young. The bastard was really young in the video accompanying his brother, I would say he was about 14 years old maybe. Son of a gun... how is it possible for a kid to play like this... God damn...

Thanks for sharing those Fred. I've seen those videos before. I really enjoy that taranta video where he adds parts of "La Catedral" by Barrios. He was a great accompanist before he went solo.

In the first video that's a young Jose Greco dancing at one point. Paco was with Jose Greco's troupe for a time.

I can answer that to some degree. :) Lydia Torrea, a friend of mine who was a dancer in that troupe, said that everyone knew he was a hotshot and played very well, but not that he was going to "be Paco". When he came here last May, she was in the audience and he stopped the show to recognize her. A very sweet gesture!
