Abanico? 

I seam to be stuck with my p-m-p Abanico. Any tips on how to build speed?

Instead of p-m-p or p-a-m, I started with p-ma-p.

The m and a togheter give more mass and balance, thats what helped me with that wrist rotation movement you need for the abanicos.


Try it, see if that works for you.

Make sure you are doing the technique correctly with the motion being rotary coming from the pronation / supination of the forearm (basically meaning you have to turn the forearm along the long axis, just like the motion you do when opening a door with a key, or tightening a screw with a screw-driver) mostly, and somewhat from the wrist, but NOT from the flexion/extension of the elbow (meaning, not from the "up and down" movement of the arm).
