Paco Falseta

Can anyone of you play the first falseta of this video:

Are there any tabs for this? Or have anyone of you a lesson-video?

I can play it, and there are some better videos of this falseta from Paco where you don't look at the back of his head the whole time.

It comes from the piece called "Ole" a jaleo on Almoraima. You can BUY the transcription book, or take a skype lesson and I will show it to you.

Maybe this will help you...

Click on the attachment link below, download and rename the file called Tr49297.jpg to Tr49297.mp3 for it to work...

Falsetas that involve using the distal phalanx (part of the finger labeled "A" below) to perform half-barres across THREE strings (see image below) are something I find VERY difficult. I have always attributed it to the size of my fingers and their phalanges, whereby the distal phalanx is just too short and thus barely can cover three strings when the distal interphalangeal (DIP) joint is extended (see image with "dip" label to understand what I mean about extension of the DIP).

Does anyone have any help they can provide me with regarding that issue?

PS: Obviously, I usually place the distal phalanx better along the three strings I am trying to half-barre. The image here was taken with a webcam and I could barely get my hands / fingers ready in time before the cam took the shot. I usually make sure to have the phalanx right on the three strings, whereas here, it shows that I am over-shooting the D string and thus obviously the B string is going to get muted.

This guy is a really good player and plays it at around 2:58. He blazes through it though.
