Which guitar should I play ???

Maybe a stupid question, but, for all of you out there with several guitars - how do you decide which one you're going to play at any particualar time? And what influences that choice?

I have four flamenco guitars, all negras, plus a 40 year old blanca beater. I try to use all of them in some kind of rotation, just to make sure they all get played fairly regularly. But they all play and sound a little differently, and I'm wondering if I should have a more appropriate means of selecting which guitar gets played at which time, and why?

Anybody have any ideas here???

I keep one for gigs and recordings so the strings live longer
I keep one for daily playing so I beat the hell out of it
I keep one for unusual tuning like Rondeña and Gerardo's seguiriya
I keep one for trips and playing with friends ... this one is in a very bad situation because it fell a lot and suffer a lot

I know!!!!!! funny answer

It depends on a variety of factors -- type of venue, ensemble type (solo vs. w/ other musicians), type of repertoire, and even your mood... I have 3 guitars, one of which hardly counts because I almost never play it (the Yamaha entry-level flamenco guitar), so my choice is always between a classical 1988 Stephen Kakos guitar and a custom made 2011 Stephen Kakos flamenco negra. Lately I've only been playing the latter because it sounds amazing for EVERY genre, including classical... so I guess I'm not really faced with a choice... usually if I feel that something is off about my sound, all I need is a string change. Haha.

Edit - Elie, that's not a bad idea actually. I might have to make the Yamaha my "weird tuning guitar". Haha.
