Golpe

I noticed that i use the index finger for a golpe above the low e-string. Most guitarists use their middle finger for this golpe, are there some differences in between?
I'm asking because my index finger f******* hurts because of this golpe.
I think that i do something very wrong.
It have worked for years that way, but i think now i have to search for an alternative way.
And how does this golpe work with the middle finger?

Thanks for answers to this silly question :D

I believe not

same as with the index finger

and for the note I mainly use the middle finger

I think your finger is hurting because you haven't developed a good "callus" yet
give it some time, work on it daily ... you will have it in no time

I always used the middle finger, I think it comes out stronger than the i finger. I once you used too much with a short time
While accompanying dancers and i ended up bleeding . Now I Have a barely noticeable scar and callus .
