Lutz spruce

Anybody tried building with Lutz at all? Apparently it's a hybrid of Sitka and Englemann found in BC, Canada. We got a really nice 1x4 of it and I used it for bracewood... it's stiff and "ropy" like sitka but basically white in color and seems lighter weight.

I've built 3 flamenco guitars with it, and thought the spruce was of excellent quality. Also, it was just superbly cut, perfect quarter, and no runout. I got the spruce from Shane Neifer (High Mountain Tonewood) and at least that particular batch was fabulous.
