Hi Manzmann, Sorry to hear about your illness. I was in the same boat 2 times in the last six months, but before that I hadn't been sick in years. I totally forgot how to be sick, and when it hit me, I was a whiney little baby! As to the difficulty of La Lola, I'm not sure, but it seems it would be relative to the technical ability of the player. That being said, I'm a proponent of attempting pieces that are difficult/challenging. Attention must be given to injury prevention, which for me is simply a matter of slowing my playing and avoiding tension, especially in my left hand. When I hear of people learning a P. Pena rumba, it's usually La Lola or Herencia Latina, doesn't anyone like Rumbeando la Milonga? Maybe you can upload a mp3/video when it's complete? Good luck.
