Early Vicente - Stunning

I came across this on Youtube.
It shows just how fantastic Vicente's playing and compositional tallent is. The video's not great quality but the genius shines through.

Yes I also saw the videos.. Vicente is excellent. And I like to see that he still has his buddys from the past in his actual group. They seem to be good friends.

When vicente was young he had a mullet, played Gerundino, and later just long hair sometimes pulled back. After his Second album, he shaved his head. This vid looks like it was from that time, when Poeta (3rd album) came out, and his hair was growing out.

Strange the music is almost all from his first album....but....the intro to Alegria is from Ciudad de Las Ideas (his 4th solo album), and some of the falsetas remind more of the Poeta version arrangement. Also strange is he has Jose Parra singing (who sings on Poeta) but NOT in the alegrias (the cante highlight of the album)!

Anyway, nice find.

Ricardo
