I saw Ravi Shankar three times in person. the last time many years ago. I realize that Indian classical music is not to everyone's taste, and that's fine with me. Personally, I enjoyed the music immensely. I found it engaging and exciting.

indian classical music and flamenco have many (structural) similarities - and also it's the kind of music the one finds interesting first and it gets better the deeper you dig into it...
