Ron's tree, looking pretty good. . .

Thought I'd just share a few pics of Ron's tree, that I took today.

An Asian Pear tree I grafted in April 2011, planted out on August 25th, 2012.

Seems like it has survived the Ontario winter with no problems, and has lots of fresh vigorous growth.

Looks like it will be a good strong fruit tree. Maybe next year we will have some fruit. (Not for sale! Maybe a few freebies if you're in the area?).

Ole' Ron - we'll remember you..................

What a tree! Anyone will be well remembered if there is a tree named after him.

I did a post on this, with a number of responses, when I planted the tree last August, shortly after Ron passed away.

Also sent another post and pic back in February, I think?

It's really just a small gesture for someone to whom I think we all owe a great debt.

As the saying often goes: 'we may not see his like again. . .'

Yep!

It will grow with good vibes.
Cheers to you, brother Ron!

And thanks again, Britguy!
