Photos of Ron's home turf

I just got home after 10 hours driving straight through. No problems at all, but a bit knackered. I awoke early this morning in Aberdeen with the urge to take some photos around where Ron lived. It was a beautiful day and he would have gazed upon these views thousands of times.

Ron always encouraged me in my photography ("Jeez Simon, that could be in a magazine!"), so I sprinkled some fairy dust on them especially.

He sure lived in a beautiful part of the world.

Newtonhill Bay. A couple of hundred yards from Ron's house. AC told me he used to repair the fishermens' gear in exchange for fresh crab.

Awesome ....I knew you would do a few photos ,,,,,

I like the ones with the hay in them ,,, the lines etc ....
Its that time of year there is a field behind me that is like that too , but flat and not so big .....
The last pic is definately the best especially with that cloud up at the top of the field it would make a good big photo in an exhibition .........

Well done .... for everything I mean ,,,,,,,

Incredible pictures, Simon. I looked up Stonehaven a few weeks ago. They have a live webcam of the harbor if anyone is interested. You have to wonder how far back Ron's family goes in that location...

Great photos Simon. Keep them coming.

Here is a photo of the same view near Ron's house that he sent me in August or July. Which when I say I was looking to get to know Ron better it was because he was amazing at connecting across all the internet distance.

I was thinking of your comments in your video for Ron, Stephen. Funny, but when I drove to Ron's house the sat. nav. went crazy and wouldn't take me out of the village but around in a circle and then down a track to this point, where I got out and took my shot.

Comforting to know that Ron stood there many times to have a think.

Only Stephen´s upload being visible for me ...

Struggling with walking the dogs in the f***** &%§$" area that I reside; then looking at Ron´s place ... Guess you could even just let them roam there without worries.
I am yearning for living in such a place.
And the surge right before one´s door, you can´t beat that. ( My bro had such at the Lago Maggiore, and when staying there, I used to sleep with the surge sound like a baby.)
