Musicians Friend is now stocking Planetary Pegs. Don't know what difference if any there is between their offering and "Pegheds". All other spots I have seen where they can be ordered are over seas. It looks like that Pegheds recommends the same size for violin and flamenco guitars. It seems a little odd to me that the violin sets are $149 with 4 pegs and the flamenco set is $120... You would think, more pegs, more money... The thing about Musicians Friend is it don't look like they offer the option to buy singles, this means that a person would have to buy 2 sets... Probably better off with Pegheds if that's the case. Maybe someone can step up and clarify who is making what these days. I have seen 2 kinds of mechanical pegs in guitars, and they looked a lot different than one another. You have the ones which have a thick/ chunky end for tuning, (which feel great in the fingers), and you have the set which has a really flat profile, (which still tune as good but feel a little less comfortable to me.) The more thicker/ chunky pegs were also shorter, so perhaps they were for violin and the other "flatter" type are or were for viola? The Pegheds site don't offer much info, so who knows how much variety they have when choosing a size. These folks seem to offer a lot more, but buying a set from them would be expensive... http://www.perfectionpegs.twofold.com.au/
