There is a FAKE Ricardo Sanchis Carpio on ebay.

Strangely, it has "distributed in u.s.a. by Zavaletas" printed on the label. Guy from Zavaletas is a totally legit dealer. I just sent him the link to the auction....

I'm sure Zavaletas has nothing to do with this guitar. Whoever did this is just trying to con someone. They probably added Zavaletas to add some credibility to the label. This is nothing more than a cheap factory guitar with a made up label.

Just heard back from James at Zavaletas. Someone had already tipped him to the scam and he's contacted ebay. Counterfeiting a guitar is bad enough, but adding someone else's name to the mix like that adds a whole other level of creepiness to the situation. Yuck.

Some poor fool has already placed a bid. The description and the label say it's a cypress back and sides. The photos clearly show it being Mahogany or Sapele, and probably laminated at that.
