We just loaded this onto Emilo's myspace. My modem isn't fast enough to get 5 frames a second so quality is not so good from where I am sitting. It was shot at a Gypsy wedding where they played rumbas all night. Let me know what you think....

Hi Kate,
I think the construction of the video itself is great - gives a really good party feeling. Loved all the dancing, especially the girl - bridesmaid?
The quality was very pixelated, and we have a fast connection, so I don't know why that would be. Never uploaded onto myspace so not sure if there are problems with that.

RE: Emilio Video - rumba - Gypsy wedding (in reply to Ailsa)
Thanks for the feedback Ailsa. When we first did this it was broadcast on TV so the original quality is just fine. Its the first time we uploaded anyhing so still learning, but yes it looks a bit like a Klimt painting all a bit fractured. Of course the dancing is fast and crazy but it does focus ok on Emilio when he is playing. We loved the little girl dancing with the painted face and even managed to morph it into Ana Calí dancing so it looks as if she grows up. She is one of Emilio's neices and she just loves the fact that she appears in his video. It was another niece getting married. The Church ceremony was wild, very flamenco, everyone doing palmas to the hymns and wish we had filmed that as well.
Good news for you, next Sunday at the Eshavira is Rafa habichuela on guitar, his son Moreno ( who you've seen already) and Raul, percussion and cante and a dancer who i have not seen. We should get there early and drag Pimiento along as well.
Right now in Granada it is raining and windy, but not cold, still dont feel much like going out to my class

Looks very cool! Kate, do you have this (or other videos) with the original audio? It looks like this is the album track dubbed over. I'd love to see some of Emilio live...
RE: Emilio Video - rumba - Gypsy wedding (in reply to Kate)
Well I like Emilio since I won a bet against my flatmate about him. hehe... My flatmate was 100% shure that Emilio has short or not very long hair on his cover of temple. And me said ,.. no he has a gypsy-neck-wallpaper. The looser of the bet had to clean the bath one time more than usually. I just passed my flatmate a photoshop-emilio-fake which I just did with my youtube-CS2-education and didnt had to clean the toilet. Muhahaha...

Yes it was dubbed over various scenes edited from the wedding, rumba all night so reasonably easy to make everything in compás syncing with everyone clapping, it was also mixed up with a show at the Fería ( must have been 2004) so you got the close ups of Emilio playing the actual track.
We've must have lots of stuff in the archives by now of Emilio playing live. Once we've worked out how to get it out looking good on a computer we may well put some more stuff on his myspace.
Its a wet and windy night in Granada, the cobbled streets are all running with streams of rain water.

Sneaky!!! But confession is good for the soul I take it your flatmate is not on the forum!! And you DONT have the CD with original cover in your flat !! There's a new cover which Emilio likes much better where he's wearing a leather jacket and a hat. He looks very cheeky.

Yes he's on the Mirador ( we had to get there very early morning not be surrounded by tourists) we sell those in the local record shops and on CDbaby.com Emilio sells his new one when he does gigs. Here's, the pic from the front cover!

Kate, Thanks for posting - Emilio is a GREAT guitarist! It's interesting, there are also a lot of Eastern European wedding party posts on the internet now too, and some of the solo male dancing looks a lot like flamenco - with actual zapateado! I'll try to find a link for the dancers on the foro! Thanks again!
