RE: What does flamenco mean to you? (in reply to Florian

I was accompanying an intermediate course for their presentation one time and I noticed we started to get a bit too fast. I went with it because is sounded really good to the point that we almost got up to a bit of a rough speed. The energy was beautiful. I saw the instructor clapping and glaring at me. Ended without any problems and everyone was happy. The instructor heard me telling exactly what I just wrote here minus the glaring bit backstage and she walked off angrily.

I think I did the right thing

But seriously: who helped you making this list? It is very funny, if you are just as creativ in your guitar playing, we can aspect a lot of you

Thank you Blanca. Don't be disturbed too much. I'm a nice guy generally. Just have this urge to make people laugh on the side.

If you search in the audio/videouploads you'll find some home-cooked flamenco thingy's by me. Just judge wether it's as creative as my poll-making.

not at all suggesting that you are judging it, but there are some people who are convinced that they and they alone know what it is and what it means and what it should be and are a litlle dissmisive, no song ever affects 2 people exactly the same way, unless one has just copyed the others words.

Hm I get the strange feeling that the "love at first sight" between you and me is turning into a hangover.

Not sure if I can put this into words exactly, but here goes....

Flamenco is the music I have always seemed to be interested in , even before I knew what it was and even before I knew what it was that I wanted to do with myself.

Even back in my electric guitar daze, I was always fascinated by Spanish sounding things and then switching to classical, I thought I had found it..but I was only to discover that what I was attracted to in Classical guitar were interpretations and compositions based largely on flamenco. How's that fer a run on sentence?

I know I'm a long way from becoming a "real" flamenco guitarist, but I sure am having a whole lot more fun musically than I did studying classical. There is a kind of energy, and I'm not sure what to call it...(spirit) that I can't find in any other music. Perhaps being a guitarist has something to do with it though.

Anyway, my dos centimos

I always wondered what you were on about .. ..thought maybe you had an itch or something.

And I see your dancers do brakes too. Do they use bicycles in their routines?

Seriously though, its interesting to see that you use your own terminology - do the dancers you work with use English terms for dance moves as well?(in place of desplante, punteado etc)
